Most businesses measure their success by how much money they make. NeoAid measures its success by how much money we give away. We donate 90% of our net revenue to the causes and organizations which you, our members, select.
Are you crazy?
No, just strategic. We keep our costs down: no fancy offices or private jets or long lunches on the company’s expense account. Instead of costly ad campaigns, we encourage you, the NeoAid community, to spread awareness by inviting your friends. Our infrastructure and day-to-day operations are based purely on open-source technology. We’re not miracle-workers though. We do keep a maximum of 10% of our net operating profit as dividend – you know, to pay for our occasional short lunches at the drive-through and the not-so-fancy cars that get us there.
Distribution of funds
NeoAid follows a strict distribution policy in connection with our fundraising. 90% of our net revenue (that's our gross income less our running expenses) will always be donated in full to charities. We have agreed to this figure in our partnership agreement. The remaining 10% we keep as profit which is an incentive for NeoAid to remain innovative.
Why do we keep 10% as a profit incentive?
We've seen too many non-profit organizations lose their drive sooner rather than later. We dont want that to happen to us! This model will keep us focused towards our mission and will lead to us developing more innovations in fundraising. I guess you could say it's the carrot driving us! Mmmm, crunchy.
Don’t just take our word for it – we’re audited by the independent certified accounting firm, Jordans International. So there’s no funny business (or charity-beginning-at-home). NeoAid has an open financial policy – we’re committed to being honest and clear about where our money comes from. We pledge to post our yearly income tax returns so that anyone can review our financials.
